This role will be responsible for promoting and supporting a culture of Quality, Health, Safety and environment by supporting the QHSE objectives for the business, engaging with the operational teams, delivering, supporting and educating the business the importance of QHSE standards.
The QHSE Manager will drive a positive safety culture as well as ensuring the timely delivery of associated team QHSE objectives, inspection, audits and QHSE training. You will improve performance through the monitoring and inspections of QHSE management systems and procedures at site level, including ISO 45001, ISO14001, ISO9001 requirements.

Role Requirements - Essential
• Degree, HND or equivalent in relevant subject
• NEBOSH Health and Safety Certificate
• Proven experience in implementation and ongoing management of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 or other standards
• Knowledge of H&S in a manufacturing environment
• Implementing change and improvement
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Confident implementing controls and measures to reduce environmental impacts
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and SharePoint Services
• Analytical mind (with knowledge of Statistics Process Control)
Role Requirements - Desirable
• Environmental Management Diploma
• CQI Membership
• Green Belt (or higher) in Six Sigma
• Experience of the energy market
• Supplier quality assurance experience
• Understanding of MRP systems
• Engineering background
Role Responsibilities
• Preparation and development of HSE initiatives and policies
• Maintain and develop robust HSE plans, risk assessments and safe work procedures
• Continually review risk assessments and safe working practises
• Devising and establishing the company’s quality & environmental procedures, standards and specifications
• Investigating any accidents/incidents and identifying the root cause, recommending the most effective corrective action
• Provide regular reports on the status of QHSE matters by gathering relevant data
• Reviewing customer, environmental and legislative requirements and ensuring that they are met
• Setting standards for quality and environmental requirements
• Making sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards
• Defining quality & environmental procedures with the management team
• Monitoring changes to environmental legislation and analysing subsequent risk to the business
• Establish and maintain controls and documentation procedures
• Controlling and managing customer complaints and driving excellent response levels
• Conduct internal audits ISO9001, 14001 and 45001
• Facilitate External audits ISO9001, 14001 and 45001
• Manage environmental aspects

You will be a confident communicator liaising daily with internal departments regarding goods supply produced or bought in, to fulfil outstanding orders in the timeliest fashion maximising the departments throughout. The successful candidate will be required to look into current systems and processes and have the ability to identify opportunities to improve ways of working and efficiencies whilst looking for financial savings, and provide flexibility to the despatch department to absorb and provide solutions to growing challenges from internal and external influences.

• GCSE or equivalent in five subjects including English and Maths
• Warehouse/logistics experience
• Export customs procedures
• IT literate; confident using Microsoft packages
• Controlled/Disciplined approach to workload
• Proactive individual able to drive various initiatives forward

• Able to influence at all levels
• Demonstrable excel skills and creation of spreadsheets using formulas
• Attention to detail
• Excellent written communication skills, clear, concise and professional

• Experience of data input

• CPC Holder National and International
• Automated warehouse and logistics processes and systems
Role Responsibilities
• Involved in UK and export Logistics responsibilities.
• Booking of transport via external third-party service providers using various means of communication.
• Ensure a safe working environment for employees and third-party logistics onsite
• Stock control using perpetual Inventory system and process management.
• Pro-actively looking for continuous improvement
• Regular interaction with internal customers – Customer Services, Production, QHSE, Human Resources, Purchasing etc.
• General administration as required to support the department.
• Other duties as and when required by the business
• Involvement in People Management, Training etc.
